De Limburgse Jachtmakelaars is a member of the Dutch Association of Ships’ Brokers (Nederlandse Bond van Makelaars in Schepen) and applies the terms and conditions of sale of the NBMS
As a professional yacht broker, we accept a yacht for sale only after we have carried out a thorough inspection. This inspection is recorded on an intake form.
Next, a written broker’s agreement is made out in which our agreements are clearly set out.
The owner of the boat can then choose whether to have the yacht anchored at our sales landing or to have it remain anchored elsewhere at its own mooring place.
If a decision is taken to have the yacht moored at our sales landing, then the moorage costs will vary between €150 and €250 per three months, depending upon the size of the yacht.
If the boat is sold within three months, no moorage costs will be charged.

We accept a yacht for sale only if:

• we are given an exclusive order for selling the yacht
• it is absolutely clear who has ownership rights
• it can be shown that the VAT has been paid
• there are no hidden defects
• the asking price is appropriate

What can we do for you?

We list the information concerning your boat on our site, which is also linked to various international sites.
At present, standard operating procedure is for all our yachts to be listed on: Boatshop 24, Boatshop 24 UK and Yachtworld.com. Or company exhibits at various international exhibitions, for example in Paris, Antwerp, Gent, Auxerre, St Jean de Losne and La Rochelle.
In addition, we have good working relationships with various brokers inside and outside the Netherlands.

As soon as a potentially interested buyer contacts us, we arrange for the potential buyer to view the yacht, take care of the sales negotiations, ensure that an expert opinion is provided if necessary, organise transport to the inspection location, provide advice if financing has to be arranged, set down all the details in an agreement, make sure that the purchase price is paid into our trust account, provide the appropriate documents, ensure that relevant registration or deregistration is carried out, take care of the transfer of ownership via a notary if necessary, and arrange for transporting the yacht to the purchaser if necessary.

No Cure No Pay

If the brokerage agreement is cancelled by you or by us after some time has passed without any results being achieved, you do not owe us anything except for the agreed-upon moorage costs.

Under used boats for sale you will find an overview of the used boats we are offering for sale.
Most of these boats are anchored at our sales landing, but some of them are anchored at their own mooring place and can be viewed only after an appointment has been made beforehand.

If you decide to purchase one of our boats, a written purchase agreement will be made out. This agreement may include qualifications/reservations regarding:

• a technical inspection (by a certified expert);
• trial cruise;
• inspection of the hull (by a certified expert);
• obtaining adequate financing.

If no qualifications/reservations are included in the purchase agreement and the boat is sold “as is in its present condition” this will be explicitly mentioned in the agreement.

When the agreement is signed, a down payment of 10% must be paid into a trust account. The remainder is paid upon delivery of the boat.
If the sale does not go through because the boat does not pass inspection or other tests, the down payment will be returned.

Companies which are members of the Dutch Association of Ships’ Brokers (Nederlandse Bond voor Makelaars in Schepen, NMBS, www.nbms.nl) are required to use a trust account for all payments related to the sale of boats. It goes without saying that your money is quite safe in such an account. Of course, we also apply the terms and conditions of delivery of the NBMS.

Appraising motor yachts is our daily work, which means that our appraisals are generally accepted by banks.
In addition, we also provide appraisals for insurance companies and valuations in relation to partitions of community property and other such situations.
The cost of an appraisal report is influenced by a great many factors including the price category of the yacht, the amount of work involved, and the travelling expenses incurred.
